It’s a sports rivalry like no other.

The ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup kicked off on Saturday, June 1, with the opening match between the USA and Canada in Texas, and is set to see a historic showdown between Pakistan and India in New York this weekend.

Sunday’s match will be the first between the two neighbours in the United States, which is co-hosting a T20 tournament for the first time.

“India vs Pakistan is one of the greatest international sporting rivalries in sport and bringing that match to New York as part of the T20 World Cup is a hugely exciting moment for our sport,” ICC CEO Geoff Allardice had previously told USA Today in an interview.
