Meghan Markle was in the Hamptons this week attending a star-studded business summit and spending time with friends.

On Friday, July 26, makeup mogul Bobbi Brown, a longtime friend of the Duchess of Sussex, took to Instagram with a carousel of posts detailing his experience at G9 Ventures Summer Summit, a one-day business summit hosted by powerhouse Amy Griffin.

The event featured celebrities like Naomi Watts, Reese Witherspoon, Mariska Hargitay, and Julianne Hough, as well as speeches from business owners and representatives from brands like Spanx, Bumble, Flow, Hello Sunshine, and Supergoop, according to Instagram Story posts shared by attendees.

Meghan’s appearance at the business event comes as she plans to launch her own brand, American Riviera Orchard. A source exclusively told People magazine that the lifestyle brand will be named after the town of Santa Barbara, California, where Meghan lives with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibeth, and will “reflect all the things she loves, including family, cooking, entertaining and home décor.”

During Friday’s summit, Meghan, 42, posed for photos with Brown, 67, and her friend, designer Misha Nonoo. Several of Brown’s carousel photos showed Meghan smiling next to friends in chic, summery outfits.

Meghan’s outfit consisted of a linen helm vest and overlap waist trousers from St. Agni, jewelry from Cartier and Ariel Gordon, and black Santa Barbara frame sunglasses by Heidi Merrick.

“So many moments. Thank you @g9_ventures for bringing together such an amazing group of people,” Brown captioned the Instagram post. “And thank you to your beautiful husband John for smiling the whole time we were there. Shout out to my team @jonesroadbeauty @skin.by.chey @charl0ttejayne you are total rock stars.”

Meghan and the two women have been friends for a long time, with Meghan wearing several Nonoo designs in the past and Nonoo attending Meghan and Prince Harry’s wedding in 2018. Meanwhile, the beauty guru is Brown, who has previously celebrated Meghan’s birthday on Instagram and collaborated with her on beauty-focused social media posts.

Meghan’s latest outing follows several other events over the past few months, including a lunch date with Kimberly Williams-Paisley, a night out with Prince Harry at the ESPY Awards, and celebrating her daughter Princess Lilibet’s third birthday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the ESPYs at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on July 11. Meghan’s close friend, tennis legend Serena Williams, hosted the event. “Well, actually, it’s not often that you get to be in the same room as actual royalty, and tonight is no exception,” Williams said during the show. “Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are here, and let’s give them a round of applause.”

“But Harry and Meghan, try not to breathe too much tonight,” Williams joked, “Because tonight is my night and I don’t want to be overshadowed by accusations that you guys are breathing in too much oxygen, OK?”

Prince Harry accepted the Pat Tillman Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony, where he thanked the Pat Tillman Foundation (co-founded by Tillman’s widow, Marie Tillman Shelton) and paid tribute to Tillman’s mother, Mary Tillman, who had previously criticized ESPN’s choice to present him with the award.

“In truth, I stand here not just as Prince Harry, the Pat Tillman Award recipient, but as a voice for the Invictus Games Foundation and the thousands of veterans and service members from more than 20 countries who make the Invictus Games possible,” Prince Harry said.

“This award belongs to them, not to me,” the Duke of Sussex added.

“But it’s incredibly important to me that we take every opportunity, and especially tonight, to showcase the accomplishments, spirit and courage of these peers and athletes and their incredible families in front of people like you,” he continued. “Moments like this help Invictus reach those who need it most and reduce the number of veterans who take their own lives, more than 20 a day in this country alone.”
