New Orleans – Michigan Technological University Track and Field Teams and Student-Athletes Landon Cosby and Sam Lange The USTFCCCA announced Monday afternoon that these students were recipients of USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards.
To be eligible for the team honor, all student-athletes on the indoor and outdoor teams must average a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Michigan Tech’s women’s team was honored with an overall GPA of 3.54, while the men’s team finished the 2023-24 school year with a GPA of 3.51.
USTFCCCA Standards for Athletes at All Grade Levels:

A cumulative grade point average by the end of the competitive semester of study of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. Institutions using a different GPA scale must convert their GPA to the 4.0 scale using standard conversion methods. [GPA/Scale x 4.0]The data must be verifiable by the institution’s registrar.

At least 24 semester hours/36 quarter hours must be completed by the end of the competitive term at the institution.

Student-athletes must have achieved an automatic or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay event) during either the indoor or outdoor season.
