URUMQI, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) — The 561-km Duku Highway, connecting Dushanzi in the northern area of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Kuqa City in the south, runs through various types of landscapes including canyons, forests, lakes, and grasslands. The Duku Highway not only connects the stunning landscapes along its route but has also become a golden pathway to prosperity for local people. Follow Xinhua correspondent Smiley on a journey to explore this legendary road built by heroes, driving development and fostering unity.
