Belarus is to provide skilled Pakistani workers with medical and social protection facilities, announced Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday during the Belarusian Interior Minister’s visit to Pakistan

The visiting minister, along with his delegation, visited the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). He held meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain. Salik confirmed that the MoU regarding sending skilled Pakistani workers to Belarus has been signed, marking the start of the official process.

Earlier, PM Shehbaz welcomed the Belarusian minister to Pakistan and expressed his satisfaction that an MoU was signed regarding sending skilled Pakistani workers to Belarus.

In April, PM Shehbaz visited Belarus, during which several cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed across various sectors.

“Highlights of our talks included the agreement to send over 150,000 highly skilled Pakistani workers to contribute to nation-building efforts in Belarus; enhanced cooperation in agriculture and food security; and potential joint ventures in the manufacturing of electric buses and agricultural machinery steps that will help transform our enduring bond of friendship into a lasting partnership”, said Shehbaz Sharif back in April, during his visit to Belarus.

The Belarusian minister thanked PM Shehbaz for the warm welcome and reaffirmed that Belarus aims to further strengthen cooperation with Pakistan in agriculture, industry, and other sectors of the economy.
