I have lived in Ireland for many years and love the place.
Isabella Ambrosio

  • I moved to Ireland from the US many years ago and decided to attend university here.
  • The cost of my college education was about a quarter of what it would have cost to attend a top US university.
  • Ireland has amazing high quality produce and the people here are so friendly.

When I was 15, my father’s job transferred me from Chicago to Dublin and I embarked on the adventure of a lifetime.

After graduating from secondary school, my parents decided to stay in Ireland for me to attend university. Returning to America After my father’s mission was over.

After graduating from university at 21, I knew that what I found in Ireland was something special and that I should strive to maintain it for as long as possible. I stayed here and immersed myself in Irish life, and although life here is not perfect, it has benefited my life in many ways.

After all, Ireland Most expensive countries to live in In 2024, it will be second only to the United States. The cost of living in Ireland is rising Housing Crisis.

Still, I think the quality of life here is much better than if I had stayed in the US.

Here are some of the things I love about living here.

Irish culture and people are unique

Irish drinking culture is a fun one.

The Irish Great reputation And there’s a reason it’s loved all over the world.

In my experience, many Irish people will stop and ask a lost tourist if they need help, offer advice if they overhear a conversation across the seat on the bus, or chat to someone at length in the pub.

The locals I met are always such vivid storytellers that they kept me on the edge of my seat and laughing so hard I nearly fell over.

but, What Irish people like The pride they have in their country, their culture and their history. Ever since I’ve lived here, the Irish locals have always been happy to teach me and actively involve me in their culture.

The quality of the food and drinks is really great, both outside and at home.

Beyond Ireland’s drinking culture lies an innovative and exciting nightlife, and Dublin’s cocktail scene in particular continues to grow, with bars across the city experimenting with spirits in new ways.

Pubs and bars are more than just places to drink alcohol – they are social spaces, places where people come together to spend time with each other after a long day.

As the nightlife has become more active, so has the restaurant scene, and I’ve found that every street in the city center has at least one great restaurant, so long as you’re willing to pay a pretty penny.

But one of the reasons Ireland has such a vibrant food and drink culture is the quality of the food and drink here.

Ireland Second most food-accessible country in the world. We have strict agricultural laws and regulations.Produce grown outside Ireland will have the country it came from indicated on the label. Irish Beef.

In addition, it is cheap Buying fresh produce is easier in Ireland than it is in the US: carrots, celery, leeks, onions and leafy greens can be found for under €1, and a dozen apples or a bag of oranges can be purchased for under €4.

four The cost of college here is about the same as one year of tuition at the American university I wanted to attend.

For me, attending a university in Ireland was much cheaper than attending a prestigious university in the US, even with international tuition fees applied.

Before moving to Ireland, I wanted to attend New York University, but in 2018 it cost over $76,000 a year. University College Dublin (UCD)I paid about 72,000 euros (about $78,000) in tuition fees over four years and completed my bachelor’s degree in English.

Also, because Ireland and the US have a good relationship, I was eligible for federal student aid to complete my degree in Ireland.

My education is valuable, I had the opportunity to study at the same university as famous authors such as James Joyce, Roddy Doyle and Mary Lavin.

I don’t want to change my decision to study at UCD. For anything in the world regardless of How expensive is the cost of living in Ireland?.
