The polls held in the Nalagarh Assembly by-election in Himachal Pradesh reported a voter turnout of 78.82%, which is 2.85% lower than the voter turnout in the 2022 Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections, where the voter turnout in this constituency was reported as 81.67%.
The by-election to Naragarh Assembly seat in Himachal Pradesh was necessitated by the resignation of KL Thakur. Naragarh Assembly constituency no. 51 is a general constituency in Solan district and Upper Himachal region of Himachal Pradesh. This semi-urban constituency is part of the 4th Shimla (Scheduled Castes) Lok Sabha constituency and the by-elections were held on Wednesday, 10 July 2024 along with 12 other seats in 7 states. Counting of votes is scheduled for Saturday, 13 July 2024.
