LAHORE: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said he has an audio recording of former Chief Justice Saqub Nisar in which he ousted him and appointed Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan. He is said to have heard her telling him to bring her.

The 74-year-old three-time former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo also expressed disappointment over the verdict, demanding legal action against Supreme Court judges involved in the 2017 ouster of the prime minister. . Pakistani people’s attitude towards him and his party.

He addressed the party meeting in Lahore on Saturday, and it was decided that he would be re-elected as party leader on May 28.

Nawaz was disqualified as prime minister in 2017 due to corruption related to the Panama Papers and was forced to leave the party’s leadership. His younger brother, Shehbaz Sharif, then took over the leadership of the party and resigned last week.

Condemning the disqualification, Nawaz said that nowhere in the world would a judge send a prime minister home on false charges.

“I want to know why I was expelled from the prime minister’s office,” he said, revealing that he had audio evidence of former CJP Nisar, in which he said, “In order to welcome Imran Khan, Nawaz… Mr Sharif needs to be replaced,” he was heard saying. As Prime Minister. ”

“A case should be filed against former judge Mazahhir Ali Naqvi, who amassed a huge fortune, and other judges involved in this conspiracy,” he said. The PML-N supremo also called for an independent investigation to get to the bottom of this conspiracy against him and his government.

Nawaz is dissatisfied with the fact that Pakistanis did not vote for his party in the general election on February 8, and said, “I would like to ask the people…do you think while voting?Responses from the people. We need that,” he said.

Similarly, he said he was dissatisfied with the public’s silence when he was illegally removed from office as prime minister.

Mr Nawaz’s hopes of becoming prime minister for a record fourth time after returning to Pakistan from four years of self-imposed exile in London in October last year were lifted despite campaigning without the electoral symbol of a cricket bat. It was shattered by the victory of Imran Khan’s party. .

However, Nawaz’s PML-N formed a six-party coalition government, and Shehbaz Sharif, who calls himself the darling of the military, became prime minister.
