Yahoo Sports’ Jason Fitts and Frank Schwab debate whether Kyler Murray is really “the guy” to make the Cardinals a competitive team in the NFC.

Arizona Cardinals.
For me, I think there is one big question, one big curiosity about one big thing.
I mean, is Kyler really a he?
So Kyler Murray may be the man, the myth, the legend.
But when looking back at his performance this year, keep in mind he has only had one winning season so far.
A year in which things went smoothly.
He passed away within the last two years.
You see, he has yet to have a complete season, his best year was a 69% pass completion percentage, and he may have had some great years and some, well, some bad years.
I don’t think we need to forget that Arizona was close to acquiring just about any quarterback they wanted, but chose to stick with Kyler Murray and give him what we think is one of the best prospects to ever come out as a wide receiver.
So, in my mind, there is immediate hope that Kyler Murray will bounce back and get things going in the right direction.
And this is a moment where the defensive head coach isn’t always given the same benefit of the doubt, and his smart decision to keep the quarterback there isn’t always earned.
I don’t know.
At this point, I don’t think we know who Kyler Murray is.
Yeah, Kyler is one of those guys in the NFL that I have no idea what to think about.
I liked him early on, but then he got paid and I don’t think he’s worth that much, but with how the quarterback market has exploded, I don’t think even the contract he got from the Cardinals is that bad.
So it’s not that big of an issue for the Cardinals, but he’s been all the way between making flashy plays and stuff.
Sometimes he makes a really good play as a quarterback and then there are times when you think, hmmm, that wasn’t so great.
So, we don’t know yet, but I’ll say this: Fantasy football folks, Kyler Murray is going to be good this year.
The Cardinals defense is awful.
They’re going to face a lot of bad stretches and Kyler Murray is going to pitch like he’s coming back from playing eight games last year.
The first five games are okay.
Sure, they’re solid.
He’s really stepped up in the last three games and played really well.
And now we have Marvin Harrison Jr. joining the team.
The Cardinals have a lot of good things going on offensively, not just Marvin Harrison Jr., who I think will be great from day one, and I’ve talked a lot about him.
What I would say about him is a Gold Jacket talent.
Many people do.
He is amazing.
Michael Wilson is a pretty good second-year receiver and Trey McBride has had a breakout season as a tight end.
Greg Dorsch is also a good slot receiver.
They have two excellent running backs.
This attack will bring in a lot of points.
Kyler Murray basically played at a career level last year, which is quite something considering he made a delayed return from L surgery in the AC league.
He’s just a new comfortable guy, that kind of thing.
He played very well in the second half of last season and was basically up to his career standard, so I think he can take the next step.
He seems like he’s been around forever, but he’s only 27 years old.
Kyler still has levels to unlock and I really like him this season.
I don’t think the Cardinals will do well, but I think Kyler will do pretty well this year.
Well, if Kyler is on a roll and the offense is explosive, the Cardinals will start winning without a shadow of a doubt.
And I believe their head coach will finally solve their defensive issues.
It will take about a minute to get there.
