Colleges and universities in the Three Finger Lakes region have received millions of dollars in grant funding for a variety of projects, the governor said. Kathy Hockle It was announced last week.
Grants from the Higher Education Capital Matching Grant Program will support the construction and renovation of new labs and research space, the purchase of new instructional technology and equipment, and other investments. Campuses that receive grants must invest at least $3 of their own funds for every $1 of state funding they receive.
“The Higher Education Capital Matching Grant Program (HECap) is a great example of a public-private partnership that works for all New Yorkers,” said the New York State Senator. Toby Ann Stavisky“The HECap program will help universities across the state make critical investments in infrastructure and facilities, ensuring New York’s private universities remain competitive at a national and global level,” said Democrat Whitestone.
