of Oregon The Ducks went down south and made a big mark on the 2026 class.
Four-star running back from Texarkana (Texas) Tradarian Ball He has committed to Oregon.
The 2026 prospect is the No. 30 overall prospect in the Rivals 250. He also ranks as the No. 3 prospect in the state of Texas and the No. 2 running back in the cycle.
Ball is in Eugene for a multi-day visit, Friday through Sunday.
Ball explained why he decided to commit early to the Ducks.
“It’s been a long process for me. I’ve talked to my family about it, it was a pretty long conversation, and they’ve agreed with how I feel. I’ve talked about it all with coach (Rashad) Samples, I’ve told my head coach and my position coach, and they all seemed to think it was a good move.”
“Really, it was just about Coach (Dunn) Lanning and Coach Samples and having faith in those guys.”
One of the big reasons he joined the team is because of Eugene’s offensive strategy, and he’s going to have a big impact on the offense.
“They told me I’d have the same role I had in high school, which is about 20 carries a game, play receiver and get about five receptions a game, just be an all-around weapon.”
Ball also offered his thoughts on the state of Oregon’s program and its development under head coach Dan Lanning.
“I think they’re trending in the right direction. They’re getting a lot of freshmen and winning a lot of games. If we give them one more year to put it all together, I think they’ll definitely be competing for a national championship.”
After announcing their pledge to the Ducks, the next task is to contribute to the class.
“I’m definitely going to be recruiting. Oregon is a good place. You can come here and see it for yourself and see what it’s like. They’re a national championship program, they haven’t won one yet, but we’re going to make them win one.”
The football aspect of Oregon was the only thing that attracted Ball, but he also valued the academics and off-field aspects.
“I want to major in sports broadcasting and they have a lot of resources for that off the field as well. Everything they have will help me in life after football as well.”
During his sophomore season, the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Ball rushed for 1,225 yards and 12 touchdowns, while also recording 400 yards receiving and six scores. He also had a stellar freshman season, racking up nearly 1,000 yards of total offense and 13 total touchdowns.
