The Green Bay Packers and USA Football, the sport’s national governing body and official sports organization of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, recently awarded USA Football Fall Grants to youth soccer organizations across Wisconsin. The wide range of grants supports the development of grassroots programs that will continue to bring local communities together and inspire a new generation of footballers and fans.
USA Football’s grant program, made possible with support from the NFL Foundation, complements the Packers’ continued support of grassroots football by awarding new equipment and resources to local youth programs based on merit and need. “The Packers are always looking for new ways to support youth soccer in Wisconsin,” said USA Football CEO Scott Hallenbeck. “We are grateful for this opportunity to work together for the benefit of youth soccer organizations and the local soccer community. Our fall grants will help programs access critical modern equipment and resources. , allowing youth athletes to enjoy America’s favorite sport.”
Nationally, USA Football’s fall grant recipients represent more than 630 youth sports organizations and were awarded approximately $350,000 in new youth soccer equipment. USA Football has awarded approximately $1.1 million in grants to eligible youth football leagues and multi-sport youth programs through the 2024 calendar year.
Since 2006, USA Football has awarded more than $21 million in grants to youth and school-based football programs. It has directly benefited youth and high school athletes across 14,000 programs in all 50 states and Washington, DC.
