In a shocking incident, a 10-year-old boy in Pakistan’s Muzaffargarh was allegedly raped and threatened by the suspect, who recorded and circulated the disturbing video on social media, Dawn reported.
The shameful incident was reported from Bet Mirhazar Khan area of Jatoi tehsil. Police swung into action following the incident. The crime has raised widespread concerns over child safety and digital exploitation.
An officer from Bet Mirhazar Khan police station said the suspect lured the boy to the well under the pretense of taking a bath. The tape was later used to blackmail the boy, according to Dawn newspaper.
Police have filed charges against the suspects and are actively investigating the matter to make arrests.
In another incident near the Swabi Haripur district border, police arrested two people for assaulting a girl. The woman was identified as a relative of the suspect from Haripur district. She was examined at Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital in Shahmansur where the assault was confirmed, Dawn reported.
Inspector Jihad Khan of Uttra police station said an FIR has been filed against the accused based on the victim’s statement recorded before a magistrate.
The suspects — Itikhar Khan and Sirtaj Khan — are now facing legal action.
