In Pakistan, an anti-corruption court on Thursday barred former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi from making provocative statements against state institutions and officials, including the military.
In Islamabad, while hearing a petition for a fair trial, Accountability Court Judge Bashir Javed Rana also said that the media should limit its coverage to court proceedings and not report on statements made by defendants.
According to the order, Imran Khan made provocative political statements against senior officials of the military, judiciary, and state institutions, including the army chief.
The court also ordered prosecutors, defendants, and defense attorneys not to make political or inflammatory statements that could disrupt courtroom decorum.

The court also ordered the media to refrain from political and provocative reporting targeting state institutions and officials, and asked them to follow PEMRA guidelines that prohibit discussing ongoing cases.
The former chief minister announced that deliberate rigging had ruined the Punjab by-polls and accused the Punjab Police of indulging in rigging.
Khan stressed that recent by-polls were also held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, ruled by the PTI-backed Sunni Ittihad Council (SIC), and confirmed that there were no cases of bid rigging in the province. .
