With Pakistan currently playing a four-match T20I series against defending T20 champions England, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced Pakistan’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup, which begins in June.
The PCB finally announced the players just one day before the deadline for submissions after chairman Mohsin Naqvi was unhappy with the selection process, which led to a delay in announcing the players.
PCB announced Pakistan’s squad through a post on X. The team will be led by captain Babar Azam, who will lead the team in the USA and West Indies. In the last tournament, Pakistan came very close to winning the title after their victory in 2009, but lost to the winners in the final.
