Pakistani journalist hints at India’s role in Trump shooting; FBI redirects to Secret Service

India has been at the centre of a controversy ever since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau criticised it in the Canadian Parliament over the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a case that also erupted over the alleged assassination plot against US citizen Gurpatwant Singh Panun in New York.

“But do you think that a foreign country that would be involved in an assassination like this is trying to create chaos in this country? … We’ve seen recently in New York and Canada where foreign governments and foreign intelligence services have been involved in assassination attempts on American citizens.
