It’s been a long time since we had a truly dramatic ending in a major championship. It’s going to take something special for everyone to make a run at the 2024 PGA Championship.
Starting Sunday, 15 players will be within five strokes of the lead. Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele are -15, one stroke ahead of Sahith Segala, who fought well despite a tough start on Saturday. Behind them, there is a traffic jam.
Tegara also made a deep birdie putt on Sunday afternoon, quickly tying both Schauffele and Morikawa with early birdies. It’s still early in the final round at Valhalla in Louisville, but it looks like it’s going to be an eventful Sunday.

Let’s go…
Everyone is currently on the course, including co-leaders Colin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele.
Schauffele’s first drive landed in the right rough. Morikawa found the fairway.
At the front, Bryson DeChambeau tried for birdie on No. 1 and came within one shot of the lead, but was pulled away. On a day like today when you can get red numbers, you can’t afford to miss out on these opportunities.

Log jam is clogged
Some of the players at the top of the leaderboard are currently on the course, with 17 players currently within five strokes of the lead. That includes Justin Thomas (-11), who holed out from a greenside bunker on No. 3.

What score do you need to win?
Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa will start at 15 under, but what score will they need to win today? David Duvall said on the CBS broadcast that 19-under was the winner. With all the red numbers on the board today, the prediction here is even lower, at 20 under.
This would give us a 66 for the leader and a 63, putting everyone at 12 under or above into the mix.
Schauffele (-15)
Morikawa (-15)
Seagull (-14)
Lowry (-13)
DeChambeau (-13)
Hovland (-13)
Rose (-12)
McIntyre (-12) -
Scotty Scheffler turns out to be human
One night after his first over-par round since last August, Scottie Scheffler got off to a good start heading into the fourth round. He missed his first bogey, followed by a 6-foot birdie, and was at 6 under. After Friday’s events, who could blame him for coming back to Earth?

Already got 64
England’s Jordan Smith got out early and showed he still has points left in Valhalla.Smith finished with 6 birdies, 1 eagle and 7 under par with a bogey.

Golf can be cruel
Brooks Koepka threw a dart at number 7…and this happened:
The tap-in for birdie turned into par. Koepka was 3 under for the round, but 7 under for the tournament, which has not been repeated.

No. 13 is drivable
Here are some highlights later in the day: His 349-yard par-4 13th is clearly driveable.
He’ll end up making that short putt for eagle.
This can get interesting later in the day when the leader heads there with someone who needs to take action.

Final round in progress
The final round of the 2024 PGA Championship is underway. Yes, the scores will be announced today. Red numbers are already dotting the leaderboard early on, including Brooks Koepka, who finished his round at 2 under after just four holes. If that’s any indication, it’s going to be a shootout for the top of the leaderboard.
