With a new season comes new trends, and Pinterest knows exactly what we’re all looking for and pinning: The platform analyzed what its users have been searching for as summer approaches and found that “people are adopting a bolder, more daring approach to showcasing their unique tastes and personalities in all aspects of their lives.”
According to a new report, what we’re especially craving is a twist on traditional summer foods, memorable dinner parties, and eclectic décor choices that let us express our personalities.
Channel your inner Nancy Meyers
Searches for “dopamine decorating,” or surrounding yourself with furniture, art and objects that make you happy, increased by 280%.
“People are craving spaces that are full of color, comfort and personality, that reflect their personalities and create special, cozy spaces that are uniquely theirs,” a Pinterest press release states. This is evident in the rise in searches for things like “grandma bedroom,” “whimsical decor,” and “vintage eclectic home.”
And nothing triggers dopamine more than the trendy Nancy Meyers aesthetic: Searches for “Nancy Meyers living room” increased by more than 2,000%, while searches for “Nancy Meyers bedroom,” “Nancy Meyers house,” and “Nancy Meyers kitchen” also skyrocketed.
“Inspired by the timeless elegance of Nancy Meyers’ signature style and her ability to infuse warmth and sophistication into any space, people are drawn to eclectic vintage décor that tells a story and adds nostalgia and charm,” a Pinterest press release said.

Toasting for dinner or tea party
If you want to watch the latest season Bridgerton If you’re looking to do a classic high tea, you’re not alone.Bridgerton Views of “Tea Party” on Pinterest increased by 430%.
“People are turning to Pinterest to plan their summer entertainment and social activities, with searches for summer tea parties and themed dinner parties on the rise,” the press release read. “New Bridgerton Creative seasonal and trend-setting tea recipes, and inspiring gatherings centered around high tea and floral décor.”
So it’s no surprise that tea drinks are replacing traditional coffee, with searches for “Persian tea” increasing by 550% and interest in “matcha milk tea”, “strawberry iced tea”, “coconut milk tea” and “lemon iced tea” growing.
It’s not just tea parties – everyone is looking to throw a special dinner party this summer. The platform has seen an increase in “theme dinner parties,” “fairy dinner parties,” “Greek dinner parties,” “Chinese dinner parties,” “costal dinner parties,” and (of course) “vintage dinner parties.”
Energize your summer menu
Pinterest users look for fresh and innovative recipes when creating menus for high teas and themed dinners.
“With searches for ‘fun cooking’ and ‘special summer recipes’ increasing by 1,060% and 135% respectively, this summer is seeing new twists on healthy summer staples like mango and avocado, revamped sourdough recipes, and exciting new tea drinks as the ultimate summer beverage,” reads a press release from the platform.
Apparently mangoes and sweet treats have become a dream dessert combination: searches for mango floats have increased by 3,700%, but so have searches for “mango sago,” “mango chia seed pudding,” “mango jelly,” and “mango crepes.”
They are learning new ways to eat avocados, such as “avocado bread,” “avocado ice cream,” and “avocado fries.”
It’s also possible that users are (in some way) nostalgic for 2020 and searching for sourdough-related recipes, such as “sourdough experiments,” “sourdough bagels,” “chocolate sourdough,” and “sourdough tortillas.”
