Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, amid the drawn-out 2024 Lok Sabha election campaign, jointly participated in 15 public meetings, five roadshows and the Prime Ministerial nomination poll in Varanasi and also visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
From Meerut to Mirzapur, both PM Modi and PM Yogi attended 21 events together and in all these meetings the chemistry between the two leaders was most evident.
According to a government press note, the Chief Minister expressed immense pride in having a companion like Adityanath at various joint meetings and especially praised him at each gathering for the significant improvement in the security situation in the state.
With Adityanath campaigning in all constituencies and holding public meetings in several districts to strengthen his party’s preparedness, masses coined slogans like “Modi hai toh mumkin hai (with Modi anything is possible)” and “Yogi hai toh yakeen hai (Yogi inspires confidence)” to highlight the chemistry between the two leaders.
Adityanath also held rallies in 12 states and two union territories, appealing to people to vote for the BJP.
According to a press note, Adityanath along with PM Modi attended public rallies including in Meerut (March 31), Saharanpur (April 6), Pilibhit (April 9), Amroha (April 19), Aligarh (April 22), Agra (April 25), Etawah (May 5), Lalganj (May 16), Barabanki (May 17) and dialogues on women empowerment in Varanasi (May 21), Basti (May 22), Ghazipur (May 25) and Mirzapur/Robertsganj (May 26).
PM Modi also held five major roadshows along with Chief Minister Adityanath, including Ghaziabad (April 6), Bareilly (April 26), Kanpur (May 4), Ayodhya (May 5) and Varanasi (May 13).
Adityanath was also seen accompanying PM Modi when he visited the Kaal Bhairav Temple and Kashi Vishwanath Dham for prayers (May 13) and when he was appointed PM in Varanasi (May 14).
Several videos from these events were also shared on social media. One of them shows PM Modi taking Adityanath’s hand at the Pilibhit rally and encouraging him to forge ahead. Another widely shared video shows PM Modi receiving a ‘trishul’ at the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
