NEW DELHI: Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that Narendra Modi’s 10 years’ efforts are greater than the Congress’s 55-60 years’ efforts.
Khatar made the remark while addressing a public rally in support of Bharatiya Janata Party’s northeast Lok Sabha candidate Manoj Tiwari in Burari.
“They abrogated Article 370 and now Jammu and Kashmir is like any other state. By 2047, India will become a ‘Vikshit’ Bharat,” Qatar said.
Mr. Khattar is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Karnal in Haryana, and voting will take place on May 25.
“Prime Minister Modi’s prestige increased globally. When war broke out between Ukraine and Russia, he called on the presidents of both countries to hold a 24-hour ceasefire to remove 22,000 students. .”
“There was a ceasefire and we took 22,000 students out of the country, and other countries also took their citizens out of the country,” Khattar said.
He said traders protested when GST was introduced in 2017, but now all traders are praising the system.
Mr. Khatar said he was willing to relinquish the post of Haryana CM, which he held for nine-and-a-half years, on the orders of the Prime Minister.
“I told my colleagues that he should be the prime minister. I am going to Delhi, where the prime minister called me.”
He said the capital, which shares borders with Haryana on three sides, receives water from the neighboring state whenever it is needed.
“While the Bharatiya Janata Party is seeking votes on a plan to promote positive progress in the country, the Opposition lacks issues related to the welfare of the people. Tiwari has a long list of development projects to introduce. Yes,” he said.
The sixth phase of voting for Delhi’s seven Lok Sabha seats will be held on May 25 and counting of votes will take place on June 4.
