Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during his four-day visit to Saudi Arabia, paid his respects at Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) on Thursday, offering prayers for the progress of Pakistan and unity in the Muslim world.

On the second leg of his trip, the prime minister and his high-level delegation were granted exclusive access to Riaz-ul-Jannah.

Accompanied by his delegation, PM Shehbaz performed Nawafil prayers at Masjid-e-Nabawi, praying for the prosperity of Pakistan and the unity of Muslims across the globe.

The visit marks a significant moment in strengthening the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, as well as underlining the Prime Minister’s commitment to peace and progress in the region.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah on Wednesday for a four-day visit to Saudi Arabia focused on strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Prince Saud bin Mishaal, the deputy governor of Makkah.

During the visit, Sharif is scheduled to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss enhancing trade, partnerships in key sectors, and expanding overall economic collaboration.

The visit follows the signing of 34 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth $2.8 billion last October, aiming to boost private sector cooperation.

Discussions will also cover regional issues, including the situation in Gaza, Middle Eastern dynamics, and concerns for the Muslim world.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 offers significant opportunities for Pakistani businesses, especially due to strong consumer demand.

The Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia, numbering 2.7 million, plays a vital role in sending remittances. Sharif’s delegation includes key officials, including Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who will explore new investment opportunities during the visit.
