LAHORE:

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said that the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are on the same page and aligned in their commitment to the country’s development.

During a meeting with Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, he attributed Pakistan’s economic struggles to the policies of the previous government and reaffirmed that the PPP would support the coalition government’s positive initiatives.

Governor Saleem Haider praised the role of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in economic recovery.

The discussion focused on Pakistan’s economic development, key challenges and potential opportunities for enhancing the agriculture sector.

The governor commended the finance minister and his team for their efforts in stabilising the economy, noting that despite significant challenges, Pakistan has witnessed economic progress. He highlighted increased investment and infrastructure development as indicators of the coalition government’s positive approach.

Senator Aurangzeb emphasised the importance of political leadership in driving economic stability and sustainable growth. He credited the prime minister’s vision for economic reforms.
