According to a video shared on social media by Rashid Latif, fans were allowed to meet Pakistani players during a private dinner for a fee of $25, sparking uproar among Pakistani cricket fans who fear the situation could lead to chaos.

According to a video shared on social media by Latif, fans were allowed to meet Pakistani players during a private dinner for a fee of $25, sparking outrage among Pakistani cricket fans.

Latif and other guests on the Pakistani show were appalled by the idea, and they suggested such parties could be disruptive.

“There are official dinners but this is a private dinner. Who can do this? It’s horrible. I mean, he met our player for $25. I pray to God, but if there was any confusion, people would say the boys are making money,” Latif said on the show.

“People tell me that when you call Pakistan players, you just ask, ‘How much will you give me?’ This has become normal. In our time things were different. There were two or three dinners but they were official. But this is the World Cup so there is attention,” Latif said.

Muzaffar said Pakistani cricketers cannot play such exchange events on national duty and the cost is $25. Niaz questioned the intentions and focus of the Pakistani side.

Pakistan will begin their T20 World Cup campaign on June 6 against the United States in Dallas.
