TIANJIN, June 3 (Xinhua) — North China’s Tianjin Municipality has actively implemented a renewal and upgrading program for central urban areas in recent years. A total of 40 urban renewal areas have been planned by far, focusing on the renovation of old residential areas, the protection and utilization of industrial relics and the reuse of idle assets.
Through the urban area renewal, the city aims to improve people’s living conditions, preserve and carry forward the historical heritage, promote the industrial renewal and expand new urban space, bringing vitality to the high-quality development of the region.
