In an unexpected twist, a Dutch content creator recently embarked on a trip to Pakistan, booked a hotel for just Rs 117, and was astounded by what he saw there. Known as @traveltomtom on Instagram, Tom is a seasoned traveller who has travelled to 159 countries since 2012. His latest adventure was in Peshawar, Pakistan, where he documented his experience in budget accommodation, which has gone viral.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw the room,” Tom said in the video, which has been viewed more than 700,000 times online. He further added that for just 117 rupees ($1.40), he got much more than he expected. Located in the heart of Peshawar, the room even came equipped with two beds and a small TV, to Tom’s surprise. He said he was nervous as he climbed the stairs to the room, but found it very comfortable once inside.
