The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team is in the US and will take on Ireland in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at the newly built Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 5 before playing a league match against Pakistan on June 5.
With the first-ever ICC tournament being held in the US, co-hosted by the West Indies, even experts are at a loss as to what the pitch, ground and weather conditions will be like.

The Indian captain said in an exclusive interview Live MintBefore leaving for America, he shared his expectations for the weather.
When asked about the specific preparations, Rohit Sharma said, “We are expecting the weather to be warmer and sunnier. Having played in the US before, we have plans and preparations in place on how to deal with the changing climate and weather in terms of the team’s performance. We are a well-balanced team and are able to take on any challenge that we expect to face.”

Meanwhile, before leaving for the US, Rohit will be expanding his partnership and continuing as a brand ambassador with sports performance eyewear Oakley.
When asked what is most important in sports performance eyewear, Rohit replied, “Comfort is the most important factor.”
Meanwhile, Oakley Brand Manager Sahil Jindyal opined that Rohit Sharma is an inspiration to the younger generation and this will help in the growth of the brand.

Oakley, which also has partnerships with footballer Kylian Mbappe, golfer Dylan Frittelli and cyclist Mark Cavendish, is looking to expand its presence in India.
