Lately, my life has been a complete train wreck. There are missing assignments, upcoming tests, and exams, and not enough time to complete them all. The solution to keeping yourself positive in this deep hole you’ve dug for yourself is very simple. It’s about making life romantic.
Romanticizing your life is probably a word you hear very often, but it can be used in many different ways. In the simplest terms, it means looking at life through the perspective of joy and excitement. Everyone can romanticize their life in their own way, but there are some simple things you can add to your daily life to improve your outlook and events.
First of all, create an aesthetic organization.
Just organizing isn’t as much fun as it is if it’s nice and beautiful. When I open my aesthetic planner, I feel like I’m a productive person who can be photographed on apps like Pinterest and Vsco. To match the theme of the planner, we have prepared gold stickers to make it look better. It’s a simple act and can sometimes be expensive, but you’ll feel much better in a nice, aesthetic planner than you would in a school planner.
Next, change your clothing style.
I’m a huge supporter of sweatpants and sweatshirts. I wear them all day, every day, but sometimes wearing something different from my daily routine can make my day feel more positive. I’m not really into trends, but I’ve been thinking about wearing jeans once a week or every other week for a while. This will give you a nice change of pace from your everyday leggings and sweatshirts. Wearing something nice will make you feel more put together and more motivated. Similarly, sometimes wearing a pajama set can be a motivator. I feel like I’m a “pretty girl” and have an obligation to wake up earlier, prepare a nice breakfast, and clean up when I wake up.
“
I wear it all day every day, but sometimes a change from routine gives my daily life a lasting positive outlook.
Then replenish with things that make you feel good.
This is a very ambiguous point, but it can be used in a variety of ways. Lately, I’ve started buying one healthier food item than my regular meals. For example, a few weeks ago I decided to buy unsweetened pudding instead of regular pudding. Did that change really affect my eating habits? No. Would I have felt better about myself by enjoying my snack in a slightly healthier way? Yes. Honestly, I have no idea if sugar-free is healthier or not. This can also be seen in other diets, such as having a smoothie instead of a shake. Yes, most of the time it’s unhealthy as well, but I know it increases my motivation and productivity. There are many ways to do this. This could be buying new items to replace used ones or finding new activities and things to fill your time and routine.
Go ahead and give yourself an aesthetic environment.
Everyone’s aesthetic environment is different. For me, going to a coffee shop like Starbucks is a great place to be productive and beautiful. Placing yourself in a different aesthetically pleasing environment can make you feel more organized than your everyday life. It can also limit distractions if you are trying to concentrate. This may even be in your own home. Creating a bedroom-like space fits your personal aesthetic and makes your day feel more organized. Just having a clean environment can make you feel so much better.
Finally, decide on a theme for your life.
This is what I like most. It’s also very easy to do. I do this by finding aesthetics and colors that I use and wear often. It’s very easy, especially when there are so many options for the product you want to buy.
