Deadpool & Wolverine is filled with so many cameos that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s kids might have gone unnoticed.
Directed by Shawn Levy, the third film in the Deadpool series will see Reynolds’ Wade Wilson/Deadpool team up with Hugh Jackman’s Logan/Wolverine for an epic adventure.
Deadpool’s attempts to save the world from extinction run into a problem early on when Mister Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) sends them into a wasteland known as “The Void.”
Deadpool and Wolverine return to the titular mercenary world to continue their missions by teaming up with some of Marvel’s biggest names, but they’re followed by 100 variants of Deadpool from The Void, some of whom are played by Reynolds’ family members, and a massive fight scene ensues.
Among the Deadpool variations is a female version called Ladypool, played by Lively, who never takes off her mask but has some lines and has Lively’s name listed in the credits.
Lively and Reynolds have four children together: daughters James, Inez, and Betty, and son Orin, three of whom make cameo appearances in the film.
In Deadpool & Wolverine, Ladypool gives birth to a baby aptly named Babypool, who is played by the couple’s youngest son, Orin. Innes plays Kidpool, who has lines in the film. Lively and Reynolds’ eldest daughter, 9 years old James also has a small role as a screaming mutant.
Although Betty does not have a cameo in the film, she is listed in the credits as “Hugh Jackman’s caretaker.”
Reynolds recently told People magazine that Betty “loves Hugh unconditionally.”
“And she expresses that love with unblinking violence,” Reynolds says, “so she attacks him because she believes she has claws and he has healing powers, which he probably does.”
Reynolds also called out his family at the New York premiere of “Deadpool & Wolverine” on Monday.
“First of all, I want to thank my wife, Blake, who is here,” he said onstage, “and my children, James, Inez, Betty and Orrin, who are here. And with any luck, this moment will be the most impactful thing that will happen in your incredible lives – the content of this film.”
