The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman, on Wednesday expressed deep appreciation for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in advocating for de-escalation and resolution through peaceful dialogue during a telephone call with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office’s statement, during the call, the Prime Minister (PM) reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, expressing unwavering solidarity and support for the Kingdom and its people during these difficult times. PM Shehbaz also extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Prince Salman and to the people of Saudi Arabia. The Crown Prince reciprocated the sentiments.

Reassuring Prince Salman, the PM stated that Pakistan would continue to stand by Saudi Arabia, just as the Kingdom had supported Pakistan in times of need.

The Prime Minister called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the restoration of normalcy, stressing that peace and stability in the region could only be achieved through dialogue. He further urged unity within the Ummah, highlighting its importance in these challenging times.

Both leaders agreed to maintain close coordination at all levels between their countries.
