Defence experts say incident exposes the Afghan Taliban regime’s claims that it does not support terrorism in Pakistan

Security forces have identified eight terrorists killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on April 1 in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan. with officials confirming that two of the deceased were Afghan nationals, security sources said on Saturday.

According to security sources, “The first terrorist has been identified as Amir Hamza Haqyar, son of Abdul Karim, while the second was named Amir Abdul Rahim, son of Zaroli, a resident of Paktia, Afghanistan”.

Defence experts say that the incident exposes the Afghan Taliban regime’s claims that it does not support terrorism in Pakistan.

“They have used peace talks as a cover to gain relief and commercial benefits from Pakistan,” said one defence analyst.

Another expert added, “There has been no change in the Taliban’s terrorist mindset. Anyone expecting progress from these negotiations is mistaken.”

Experts further urged that operations under the codename Ghazab Lil Haq should continue with greater intensity. “The Taliban are only putting up a show under the guise of talks,” they said.

During the Pak-Afghan conflict, Pakistan named the latest military action Operation Ghazab Lil Haq. The phrase is understood to mean “Wrath for the Truth” or “Fury for the sake of justice,” reflecting what officials describe as a forceful response to aggression.
