RAWALPINDI:
Security forces killed seven terrorists, including three Afghan nationals, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, the military said on Sunday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on September 20 after reports of the presence of what it called Indian-sponsored Khwarij belonging to Fitna al Khwarij.
“During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location and resultantly, seven Indian-sponsored Khwarij including three Afghan national Khwarij and two suicide bombers were sent to hell,” the ISPR said in a statement.
It added that a sanitisation operation was under way to clear the area of other terrorists. “The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country,” it said.
The statement also urged the Afghan interim government to act. “Pakistan expects the Interim Afghan Government to uphold its responsibilities and deny its soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan,” the ISPR said.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their successful operation against Indian-backed terrorists in Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan.
The minister commended the forces’ professional skills in eliminating seven “Khwarij,” saying the security personnel had once again foiled the nefarious designs of the terrorists in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
“I salute the security forces for bringing seven Khwarij to a grim end,” Naqvi said, adding that the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its forces and values their achievements. “The Khwarij will find no place to hide,” he warned.
