The cause of death of Sister Wives alum Garrison Brown, who passed away in March at the age of 25, has been revealed.
Brown died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to an autopsy report obtained by USA TODAY from the Coconino County Health and Human Services Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of death was determined to be suicide.
In addition to the gunshot wound, ethanol intoxication (also known as alcohol intoxication) was listed as a “significant condition” that contributed to Brown’s death. His blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was 0.307% by iliac blood analysis and 0.370% by vitreous analysis. According to the Cleveland Clinic, a BAC above 0.40% is considered “potentially fatal.”
Flagstaff Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Jerry L. Rintala confirmed Brown’s death in an emailed statement to USA TODAY on March 5. Officers found Brown “dead as a result of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
Rintala said there were no signs of foul play in Brown’s death.
