Bernie Collins and Ted Kravitz appear as the latest guests on the Sky Sports F1 Podcast to discuss Max Verstappen’s future at Red Bull and analyse how the 2025 grid is shaping up.
Joined by host Matt Baker, the trio examines how the 2025 grid is shaping up after Red Bull decided to sign Sergio Pérez to a new contract and sister team RB exercised the option to extend Yuki Tsunoda’s contract for a further year.
The biggest remaining question for 2025 is where Carlos Sainz will go if Lewis Hamilton takes the Ferrari seat.
The first team to reportedly consider signing Sainz was Sauber, which is set to become Audi’s works team in 2026, with the German manufacturer keen to have Sainz as its lead driver.
However, with Williams also reportedly interested, Sainz’s choice will be key to how next season’s grid will look.
Speaking on the Sky Sports F1 Podcast, Bernie Collins and Ted Kravitz discussed recent reports that Alpine is considering an engine change for 2026.
Baker, Kravitz and Collins also explore what the trajectory of Verstappen’s career could be. The defending world champion is contracted to Red Bull until 2028, but Kravitz and Collins question whether Verstappen will see his deal through to the end when it expires, whether he will leave early or whether he will make a shock move like Hamilton.
The trio also discussed how rule changes for 2026 will affect teams and their cars.
