The Oklahoma Sooners are looking to fill their recruiting class with talent in the class of 2025. Brent Venables is looking to land a top-10 recruit for the fourth consecutive year since taking over as OU’s head coach.
One source believes Venables and Miguel Chavis could play big roles up front on defense.
Nebraska insider Brian Munson projects Cade Pietrzak to attend Oklahoma. Munson made the prediction for On3 Sports. This isn’t the first time Oklahoma has been named a target for the four-star defensive lineman.
Pietrzak is a North Dakota native who was named a top 200 player in the nation by On3 and considered the best player in the state. He played both defensive end and defensive tackle at Sheyenne High School.
At 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds, he’ll need to bulk up a bit more to be effective in the SEC, but he already boasts plenty of size on the edge.
Pietrzak received offers from Venables and Chavis in January. He got a Rivals Futures Cast from Oklahoma insider Parker Toon in May. The defensive lineman also holds offers from Nebraska, Kansas State and Wisconsin, among others.
