- Southwest Airlines is celebrating five years of service to five Hawaiian airports with a promotion.
- A Companion Pass allows you to designate another traveler to accompany you, free of charge, on all Southwest flights purchased during the validity of your pass.
Southwest Airlines’ latest promotion means if you go to Hawaii, you can get a future flight for you and one guest for free.
Anyone who registers for the promotion and books two roundtrip or one-way tickets to Hawaii by Friday with travel dates between June 1 and July 31 will be eligible to receive a companion pass that can be used from Oct. 5 to Nov. 15. To qualify, travelers must be enrolled in the Rapid Rewards frequent flyer program.

“This is a great opportunity for us to show our appreciation to our customers for supporting Southwest’s service at five airports across Hawaii for five years, and to share one of the great perks of participating in our Rapid Rewards program,” Jonathan Clarkson, Southwest’s vice president of marketing, said in a statement. “Southwest’s service to Hawaii is nonstop from eight mainland gateways, and we’re excited about this opportunity to truly connect our customers for travel between the mainland and the Hawaiian Islands.”
A Companion Pass allows you to designate another traveler to accompany you, at no cost, on all Southwest flights purchased while the pass is valid—a coveted perk of elite Rapid Rewards status, and there’s no worse way to earn it than a vacation to the tropics.
