A terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir has attracted global attention. On Sunday evening, terrorists opened fire on the 53-seater bus which was travelling from Shiv Koli temple to Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Katra, causing the bus to veer off the road and fall into a deep ravine near Teriyas village in Poni area of Reasi, killing nine people and injuring 41.

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday released a sketch of the terrorist involved in the passenger bus attack in Reasi area and announced a reward of Rs 2 million for anyone providing information about him.

“Reasi police have announced a reward of Rs 2 million for useful information regarding the location of terrorists involved in the recent Yatri bus attack in Puni area,” a police spokesperson said.

He said sketches of the terrorists were created based on witness descriptions and urged people to come forward with information.

Officials said a thorough investigation was on to trace the terrorists involved in the attack on Tuesday and 11 teams of security forces were active on the ground and a multi-directional cordon had been set up around the Langso Poni Treyas area.

Hassan Ali has played 24 Test matches (80), 66 ODIs (100) and 51 T20Is (60) for Pakistan. Ali is not a part of the Pakistan cricket team competing in the T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan’s performance in the T20 World Cup has been criticised as their hopes of progressing to the Super Eight are extremely tenuous. Pakistan have lost two of their three matches so far, including against India.
