Kelowna, British Columbia–(Newsfile Corp. – June 17, 2024) – Strathmore Plus Uranium Corporation (TSXV: SUU) (OTCQB: SUUFF) (“Strathmore” or “company) announces interim drill results from Phase 1 of its 2024 exploration program at Agate. The company discovered mineralization in 57 of the 60 holes drilled.

Borehole AG-151-24 intercepted 11 feet of 0.079% eU.3oh8 From depths of 95-106 feet, the mineralized zone discovered in 2023 has been extended 600 feet to the west. This northern zone is now over 1,800 feet in length. Strathmore also discovered new areas of shallow mineralization in the upper middle “A” sand formation one mile south of the northern trend, including in hole AG-143-24 (14 feet, 0.046% eU).3oh8 30.5-44.5 ft) and AG-147-24 (0.051% eU at 15.5 ft)3oh8 29 to 44.5 feet).

The first phase of drilling in 2024 explored the Eocene Wind River Formation, an arkosic-rich sandstone known for its high porosity, high permeability and high groundwater transmissivity. In addition to continued exploration of the Lower “A” Sand, recent drilling has discovered mineralization within the Middle “A” Sand (not mineralized in the 2023 drill holes), which is thicker than the Lower “A” Sand and has historically produced most of the uranium in the Shirley Basin area. Additional drilling is planned for the first phase to extend the northern front laterally and build on the successful discovery of mineralization in the Middle “A” Sand.

John DeGioia commented: “Interim drilling results in 2024 are very encouraging with mineralization confirmed in nearly all drill holes. Exploration results in the southern area are very encouraging with significant thicknesses indicating potential for roll front development and demarcation with additional drilling in the next phase. Drilling in the northern area has extended the mineralized trend identified in 2023. I remain optimistic about Strathmore’s Agate Prospect in the Shirley Basin.”

Sections shown have a minimum thickness and grade cutoff of 2 feet and 0.02% eU.3oh8reported to be 0.2 GT (grade x thickness). Geophysical results are expressed as uranium equivalents (eU3oh8) are measurements from a gamma probe calibrated at the Department of Energy’s test facility in Casper, Wyoming. Geophysical tools with gamma, natural potential, resistivity and drift detectors were used. Note that the reported uranium grade may not reflect the actual concentration due to possible imbalances between uranium and its gamma-emitting daughter nuclides.

Drilling will be conducted by Shingle Water Services using a mud rotary drilling rig, and geophysical exploration will be performed by Hawkins CBM Logging, both of which are the same contractors used for the 2023 drilling season. Terrence Oshie, Strathmore’s vice president of exploration, is the geologist overseeing drilling activities. Additional drill sites are being targeted with Phase 1 drilling and exploration results that will be analyzed on an ongoing basis from 2023 onwards to help lay out additional drill sites proposed for drilling later in the 2024 season.

New claims made

In addition to exploration, the company has expanded the project area by claiming 15 new claims adjacent to the current concessions. The new claims cover lands expected to be mineralized from recent and past drilling, as well as deeper, groundwater-saturated areas ideal for in situ recovery operations. Strathmore plans to amend its drilling permit to include the new claims after Phase 1 drilling and will conduct exploration on lands acquired in Phase 2 drilling later this year.

University of Wyoming research update

The University of Wyoming Department of Geology and Geophysics, in partnership with the UW Near-Surface Geophysics Instrumentation Center (UWNSG), is on-site this week to continue the geophysical characterization of the Agate Project’s uranium roll front deposits during the 2024 season. Dr. Brad Carr is leading a team of two to three graduate students and 12 undergraduate students to collect numerous 2D geophysical profiles of the Agate site. Geophysical methods that UWNSG will use this summer include DC resistivity, induced polarization, self-potential, electromagnetic induction, seismic refraction, and seismic reflection. Initial profiling in 2023 revealed several geophysical anomalies associated with the uranium roll front, which the team plans to study further and generate 3D data images. The goal of this study is to determine whether surface geophysics can help discover new uranium roll fronts at the Agate Project and, if successful, can be applied to other uranium exploration projects throughout Wyoming.

About Agate Properties

The Agate property currently consists of 52 wholly owned lode mining claims covering 1,075 acres. The uranium mineralization is contained within a typical Wyoming-type roll front within the Eocene Wind River Formation, an arkosic-rich sandstone. Historically, 53 million pounds of uranium have been mined in the Shirley Basin, including open pit, underground mining, and the first commercial in situ recovery operation in the United States in the 1960s. In the Agate property, the uranium mineralization is shallow, ranging from 20 feet to approximately 150 feet deep, much of it below the water table, and appears suitable for in situ recovery. Kerr-McGee Corporation, the largest uranium mining company in the United States at the time, drilled at least 650 holes throughout the project area in the 1970s and identified several potential mineralized targets.

About Strathmore Plus Uranium Corp.

Strathmore is focused on discovering uranium deposits in Wyoming and has three permitted uranium projects: Agate, Beaver Rim and Night Owl. The Agate and Beaver Rim properties contain uranium in a typical Wyoming roll-front deposit based on historical drilling data. The Night Owl property is a former open pit mine that was in production in the early 1960s.
