To the legends in the VIP tent on the Eras tour, you look like Stevie Nicks.
The Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter was in Dublin, Ireland on the final night of the tour on Sunday, performing a show that lasted more than three hours.
During a surprise acoustic set, Swift paid tribute to her with a powerful rendition of “Clara Bow” from The Tortured Poets Department, describing the rock and roll icon in the second verse of the 16th song: “You look like Stevie Nicks / ’75 hair and lips / The crowd goes wild at her fingertips / Half-bright moon, total eclipse.”
“I’ve never performed this song live, so it’s pretty easy,” Swift said, wearing a sunset-orange dress. “I wanted to play this song tonight because I have friends here watching the show. She’s one of the big reasons why me and female artists have had a chance. She paved the way. And she’s mentored so many artists that they don’t even realize they’ve done it.”
Swift added that Nicks has been a mentor to her and many female artists. “Just guiding you, and I can’t tell you how rare that is,” Swift said. “She’s my hero and someone that I could confide in any secret to and she would never tell anyone. She’s really helped me through the years.”

After performing a mashup of “Lucky One” from “Red (Taylor’s Version),” Swift took to the piano to perform “You’re on Your Own Kid” from “Midnights.”
More than a decade of friendship
Nicks and Taylor Swift have been friends for about 15 years. In 2010, the guitar-toting, curly-haired blonde performed a three-song mashup with Nicks at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. When Swift was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year in December, Nicks said in the article, “I don’t give Taylor advice about being famous. She doesn’t need it.”
In April, Nicks penned an introductory poem for the booklet of her album, Tortured Poets, which reads in part: “He was in love with her/At least she thought so. She was heartbroken/Maybe he was too.” She’s also the protagonist in the second stanza of the Eras Tour star’s song, “Clara Bow.”
Also in the VIP tent were actress Julia Roberts and “Bridgerton” actress Florence Hunt. As Swift was singing “August,” her boyfriend Travis Kelsey entered the Aviva Stadium with his best friend Ross Travis. Fans captured video of Kelsey embracing Roberts and leaving backstage with Swift after the concert.
With 43 dates remaining on her massive Erasus tour, Swift will next head to Amsterdam, Netherlands, for three nights starting July 4th.
