Sorry, Swift fans, but Taylor Swift will not be extending her massive, record-breaking Eraser tour until 2025.

“This is the first time I’ve ever accepted to myself that this tour is going to end in December,” the emotional singer said in a speech before a 10-minute rendition of “All Too Well.”

“This tour has really become my life. It’s taken over everything. Like I used to have a hobby,” she joked, wearing a glittering red-and-black jacket. “When I’m not onstage, all I do is sit at home and think about cool acoustic mash-ups and what people would like to hear.”

Her acoustic sections have become unique fan favorites in every city, and she has begun mashing up songs in 2024. Swift is set to perform about 30 more songs from her extensive discography.

“You guys have done so much to be with us,” she continued. “You planned it way in advance. You planned what you were going to wear. You memorized the lyrics to get here. You found parking. You found transportation. And at our 100th show, we’re all thinking about it, living in the moment and wanting to be with you guys. As this show hits triple digit performances, I want you to know that we appreciate all of the effort you put into being with us. Thank you so much!”

“Looking back on 18 years of music history” show

In November 2022, Taylor Swift announced her magnum opus on social media: “I’m so excited to announce my next tour! Taylor Swift | The Erath Tour is a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present). The first leg of the tour will take place in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as possible!”

The original post only featured 27 concerts over the course of one year, but demand soared and that number grew to 66 in the first year and 86 in the second year across 22 countries (USA, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Australia, Singapore, France, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland, Austria and Canada).

The tour continues to evolve and impress, with album announcements, music video debuts, special guests, and an all-new set of “Tortured Poets” in Paris, France. Swift broke attendance records in many stadiums around the world, and countries welcomed the singer in innovative ways. A hidden language of Swift has developed in the form of friendship bracelets, custom concert chants (“One, two, three, let’s go, bitch” and “Where you going, Taylor?”) and unforgettable dance moves. Tens of thousands of fans log on to watch the livestream each night of the concert, looking forward to Swift’s outfits and custom mashups of songs not included in her massive 46-song setlist.

Taylor Swift will play 152 shows in 2023 and 2024. Here's a list of all the cities and important announcements about the tour.

Swift’s concert film bypassed a production studio, with the singer working directly with distributor AMC to show fans dancing and singing along in the stands. The film is available to stream on Disney+.

There’s no word on whether she’ll release a second film with the newly scrambled show and additional set pieces.

Swift is just a third of the way through a 51-date European tour before returning to North America in the fall, hitting Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis and Canada in October and November, with her final show of 2024 coming up on December 8 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
