In announcing its FY24 results, TCS reported its first annual decline in employee numbers in 19 years. For the full fiscal year ending in March, the Tata subsidiary reduced its workforce by 13,249 employees year-on-year. In the fourth quarter, January-March FY24, employee numbers were reduced by 1,759 from the third quarter, marking the third consecutive quarter of declines in employee numbers.
Attrition rates improved further to 12.1% from 12.5% in the previous quarter to the end of March.
TCS reported consolidated net profit at Rs 1,204 billion for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025, down 3.16 percent quarter-on-quarter and up 8.7 percent year-on-year. Net profit in the previous quarter was Rs 1,243.4 billion and in the same period last year was Rs 1,107.4 billion.
