Tech Mahindra (NSE: TECHM), a leading global provider of technology consulting and digital solutions to enterprises across industries, announced a collaboration with Microsoft to modernize workplace experiences for over 1,200 customers and an initial 10,000+ employees across 15 locations using Copilot for Microsoft 365. This collaboration positions Tech Mahindra as a leading Global System Integrator (GSI) adopter of Copilot for Microsoft 365.

Tech Mahindra is leveraging Microsoft’s trusted cloud platform and generative AI capabilities to increase employee efficiency, streamline processes, and usher in a new era of modern workplace experiences. Additionally, the company is deploying GitHub Copilot for 5,000 developers, and is expected to increase developer productivity by 35%-40% in the organization by democratizing access to AI capabilities.

Leveraging the power of Copilot for Microsoft 365, Tech Mahindra is committed to providing AI tools to its employees to drive innovation, value, and sustainable growth in an ever-evolving and competitive market. The company plans to extend the value of Copilot with plug-ins both within and outside the Microsoft app ecosystem to leverage multiple data sources to enhance creativity and improve productivity. The collaboration will be focused on improving efficiency, reducing effort, and enhancing quality and compliance across the board.

Mohit Joshi, CEO and Managing Director, Tech Mahindra, Said“Our vision is to redefine the work experience by leveraging cutting-edge AI technology to empower every employee to excel and innovate. We are not just introducing tools, we are shaping the future of work for our employees and customers. Our collaboration with Microsoft and the introduction of Copilot for Microsoft 365 and GitHub Copilot is also a major step in Tech Mahindra’s journey to make AI accessible to everyone.”

As part of this collaboration, Tech Mahindra has launched a dedicated Copilot practice focused on helping customers realize the full potential of AI tools. The practice includes employee training to help customers assess and prepare, which is essential to successfully integrate AI into all areas and functions within an organization. Additionally, Tech Mahindra provides comprehensive solutions to help customers assess, prepare, pilot, and deploy business solutions leveraging Copilot for Microsoft 365. The company is committed to leveraging insights gained from the Copilot practice to benefit both customers and employees. Copilot for Microsoft 365 provides an adaptable, scalable, and personalized user experience to executives and other professionals based on changing business needs.

Judson Althoff, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Microsoft Said“Through the introduction of Copilot for Microsoft 365 and GitHub Copilot, our collaboration with Tech Mahindra will enable employees to leverage new generative AI capabilities to enhance their work experience and improve developer productivity. With a focus on driving AI innovation and skills, Tech Mahindra is poised to deliver new solutions and greater value to customers across industries.”

This collaboration with Microsoft is in line with Tech Mahindra’s ongoing efforts to improve employee productivity, using GenAI tools to set new productivity benchmarks and create greater value for customers. In addition to its work with Copilot for Microsoft 365, Tech Mahindra recently launched an integration workbench for Microsoft Fabric. The workbench is designed to help organizations accelerate their adoption of Microsoft Fabric, allowing them to create complex data workflows in an easy-to-use interface.

Microsoft and Tech Mahindra’s collaboration over the years has also resulted in industry-leading solutions such as:
