True Tennessee football fans will never forget the day Tennessee finally beat Alabama (and the goalposts) on October 15, 2022. It goes without saying that Alabama and Tennessee don’t get along, but EA Sports College Football 25 includes four more teams as “rivals.”
The new college football game, which kicks off on July 19, will be the first since 2013. And since then, a lot has changed for the Tennessee football program in the real world, including coaches, players and, most importantly, wins. But while new feuds between the teams are sure to emerge, the traditional matchups will still make for great rivalries.
In EA Sports College Football 25, Tennessee’s rivals are:
- Alabama – Third Saturday in October
- Florida – 3rd Saturday in September
- Georgia – Georgia/Tennessee Rivalry
- Kentucky – Kentucky/Tennessee rivalry
- Vanderbilt – Tennessee/Vanderbilt rivalry
Tennessee is scheduled to face each of these teams when the upcoming college football season begins on Aug. 31. Tennessee will play at home against Alabama, Florida and Kentucky.
About EA Sports College Football 25
EA Sports College Football 25 officially launches on July 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X for $69.99. It’s the first college football video game since 2013, made possible in part by NCAA rules that allow players to monetize their name, image and likeness rights.

If you haven’t gotten early access by purchasing the Deluxe Edition of the game, it will be available at 12AM ET.
The USA TODAY Sports team said, “The game’s presentation will amaze all gamers.”
“The accurate detail of each team and stadium captures the unique traditions and pageantry of each FBS school,” USA TODAY Sports said in their review. “If there was still any doubt that this is a ‘Madden reskin,’ the gameplay should erase that doubt. It really feels like you’re playing an updated version of NCAA Football 14.”
