Amazon Prime Day 2024 is just around the corner next week. There’s still time to sign up for a free Prime trial before the shopping event begins. But in typical Amazon fashion, early Prime Day sales are already starting to appear. The online retailer has made a habit of teasing its early Prime Day sales ahead of the big event, most of which are only available to Prime members. However, Amazon always has some great tech deals that are available to everyone at the same time. Here, we’ve gathered the best of the early Prime Day sales, so you don’t have to hunt around. We update this post regularly, so check back to see the latest discounts.
Amazon Prime Day FAQ
When is Prime Day 2024?
Amazon Prime Day 2024 will take place on July 16th and 17th this year. This shopping event focuses on sales exclusive to Prime members, so if you are not a Prime member on Prime Day, you will not be able to enjoy most of the discount benefits. Amazon is still offering a 30-day free trial to new Prime members, so you can start your free trial now to participate in the event.
Is Prime Day on the same day every year?
No, but Prime Day typically takes place in the summer in the U.S. In recent years, Amazon has also held a second sales event in the fall called “October Prime Day” that is similar to the summer sale.
Can anyone shop on Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day focuses on special deals that are only available to Prime members. However, even if you don’t have a Prime membership and don’t plan on paying for it in the future, be sure to check out Amazon on Prime Day to see what sales are available to all shoppers. There are always some sales going on.

Apple’s third-generation AirPods are on sale for just $129, their lowest price ever. (They were previously priced at $140, but Amazon just dropped the price to coincide with a Walmart sale.) The earbuds were released in 2021 and offer significant improvements over their predecessor, including better sound quality, a more comfortable design, and six hours of battery life.
The second-generation AirPods are also on sale for $69, another record low price, which is probably perfect for anyone on a budget who wants to get the cheapest AirPods possible.

Apple’s over-ear headphones have dropped to a record low price: You can buy the AirPods Max for $399, $150 off the list price. The headphones earned an 84 point score in our review thanks to their great sound quality, reliable touch controls, and solid battery life.
But their steep price keeps them off our list of the best wireless headphones you can buy right now—but they’re a better deal in this Prime Day sale.

The newest stylus for iPad, Apple Pencil Pro, is currently on sale for $119 on Amazon. That’s just $10 less than its original price, but it marks the first time the new accessory has been discounted since its launch last month. The new Pencil Pro recognizes your squeeze to trigger actions like bringing up app-specific tool palettes and shortcuts, provides haptic feedback as you use it, and senses the rotation of the barrel as you draw, helping you draw more precisely.

Apple released new iPad Air models with the M2 chip in May, and now the larger 13-inch model with 128GB of storage is on sale for a record low price of $739, down from $799. The M2 iPad Air is our pick for the best overall iPad of 2024. Apple’s new tablet is powerful, capable, and has a great-looking screen, which is why it earned it a score of 91 in our review. It doesn’t have the top-end features or performance of the new iPad Pro, but the Air is nearly $500 cheaper.

Similar to the Amazon Music Unlimited perk above, Prime members who haven’t signed up for Audible Premium Plus before will get three months of the audiobook service for free. That’s about a $30 discount, as membership normally costs $14.95 per month after a one-month free trial. To recap, Audible Premium Plus gives you access to a large library of on-demand audiobooks, podcasts, and other content, as well as monthly credits you can use to buy titles permanently from the Audible store.
This service is the best value for people who tend to finish audiobooks quickly. If you’re still on the fence, this extended trial will help you see if it’s worth it. Just remember that after the trial period ends, the service will auto-renew at the standard price unless you cancel.

Amazon Prime members who don’t have Amazon Music Unlimited can get five months of the music streaming service for free as an early Prime Day offer. New users without Prime can get a three-month free trial. The service normally offers a one-month free trial, after which it costs $10 per month if you have Prime, or $11 per month if you don’t.
Music Unlimited is not officially recommended in our best music streaming apps guide. The interface is not as clean and smartly curated as our top pick, Apple Music, and it can be a bit pushy in promoting podcasts you’re not interested in. That said, it’s hard to beat for free and has a huge music library that’s almost as big as its peers. And unlike Spotify, it supports lossless streaming, which is a nice bonus for audiophiles with high-quality wired headphones. If you’re just looking to save money on music streaming for a few months, this app should do the trick. But don’t forget to cancel your subscription after the free trial ends, as it’s set to auto-renew by default.

Amazon’s most powerful streaming dongle, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, has been dropped to a record low of $35 for Prime Day. In addition to supporting 4K HDR content, the streaming device also supports Dolby Vision, Atmos, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. It also has more memory than the cheaper Fire TV Stick and comes with an Alexa Voice Remote.

It’s available for $75 for Prime members, the lowest price ever for the latest generation model. The 10.1-inch tablet technically has a list price of $140, but since its launch last September, it’s frequently been on sale for $95. At that price, it’s a good deal if you just want a cheap second screen for light video streaming, web browsing, and e-book reading. It feels relatively comfortable to hold, lasts more than 10 hours on a single charge, and the 1080p display is plenty bright and sharp. This model comes with just 32GB of storage by default, but you can expand it.
However, the Fire HD 10 still falls far short in terms of performance and quality, so you should only buy a Fire tablet if price is your primary concern. Amazon’s Fire OS also prioritizes its own services above all else, with a much more limited app selection, and it displays ads on the lock screen unless you pay extra. But if you only need a tablet for basic use, $75 might let you ignore these issues. There are several other Fire tablets on sale, including the smaller but slower Fire HD 8 ($55).

Blink
This Blink Outdoor 4 bundle, which includes one Blink Mini 2 camera, is on sale for $50 for Prime members, which is 64 percent off the regular price, and it’s a convenient way to keep an eye on both inside and outside your home. It even comes with a sync module, so you’ll have everything you need to set up both cameras and add more in the future if you want.

The 43-inch and 55-inch Amazon Fire Omni QLED Smart TVs are currently up to 25% off. The 43-inch model is the best value, with a final price of $360 that’s 20% off for Prime members. These TVs support 4K HDR10+ content with Dolby Vision IQ, hands-free Alexa, Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, and the Fire TV ambient experience.

Best early Prime Day Deals: Anker
anchor
This Anker 7-in-1 power strip is 33% off for Prime Day at $40, approaching its all-time low of $34. It offers a nice mix of USB and AC power, with two USB-A and two USB-C ports on one side and three AC outlets on the other. The included 5-foot cable gives you more flexibility and means you won’t have to stick to the wall when you need to charge. It’s a great option for students heading back to school in the fall or anyone who needs more power options in their home office.

Sound Core
The Anker Soundcore Space A40 earphones are back at a low price of $59, which is $21 less than the retail price. Plus, the sound itself is pleasantly warm.

Bose
These Bose true wireless earbuds are currently marked down to $179, which is $100 off their regular price and the cheapest price we’ve seen them at. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds are a bit newer, but they’re still solid earbuds with great noise-cancelling capabilities for the price.

Our pick for a Wi-Fi 6E mesh system is TP-Link’s Deco XE75. It’s currently on sale for $290 with a $60 coupon in a three-pack. That’s the lowest price we’ve tracked, and saves $160 off the set’s list price. We like how it strikes a good balance between power and ease of use, bringing high-speed connections to places in your home that were previously spotty.
