A popular fast-casual pizza chain founded in Southern California is reportedly planning to soon relocate its headquarters to the South.

Blaze Pizza, which first opened in Irvine and has since expanded across the U.S. and internationally, is moving its headquarters from Pasadena to Atlanta, where NBA legend LeBron James joined as co-owner in 2012, as first reported by Restaurant Business.

In a statement to Restaurant Business, Blaze’s CEO cited growth opportunities as the reason for the transition.

Sylvester Stallone announces he’s leaving California for Florida

“California is where the brand was born more than a decade ago, and we have a deep love for the communities across the state where many of our restaurants are located,” CEO Beto Guajardo said in a statement. “Relocating our headquarters to Atlanta will help drive our next wave of growth.”

Migration to the South coincides with demographic trends across the country, with more and more people moving to the region.

Blaze was founded in Pasadena in 2011. The chain serves pizza in a similar way to sandwich shops, with customers choosing the ingredients as the pizza is made by the server.
