Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi participated in a corner meeting in Kamareddy on Saturday.
The Congress mobilized a large number of people for the roadshow as part of its election campaign for Zaheerabad Lok Sabha constituency.
Addressing the people, Mr. Reddy said this election is a contest between two families. “While Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s family includes ED, IT, Delhi Police, Adani and Ambani, Rahul Gandhi’s family includes Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, who sacrificed their lives for the people of India. “It’s made up of great leaders like,” he said.
He stressed the need for Gandhi to once again open his ‘Mohabbat ki Dukhan’ as Modi spreads hatred between religions and communities. He appealed to voters to ensure Suresh Shetkar gets a majority.
Addressing a rally before the CM, Ms Gandhi praised herself and the government for the promised welfare policies. She clapped and cheered party leaders and people while Revanth Reddy was speaking.
She also termed Mr. Revanth Reddy and Mr. Gandhi as the protagonists of the film ‘RRR’ and assured that the Congress government led by Mr. Gandhi would work for their welfare.
Earlier, in a Tandur meeting, the CM had alleged that both the BRS and the BJP were responsible for zero development in Vikarabad and that both parties had deprived Godavari and Krishna districts of water.
He slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party for denying statehood to the Palamuru Ranga Reddy LIP and stressed the need to ensure a Congress government at the Centre. He said the Congress government at the Center would fund development projects along the Musi river aimed at cleaning up the polluted river.
