ATLANTA — Atlanta Braves games are returning to Xfinity this week.
The broadcast of games will resume this Thursday, Aug. 1, after a three-month hiatus due to a contract dispute between the owners of the Xfinity cable service and Bally Sports, the channel that broadcasts the Braves.
“We appreciate Diamond Sports working with us to find a solution that returns the Bally Sports RSNs to Ultimate TV customers in a way that reflects the changing local sports video market,” Greg Rigdon, Comcast’s president of content acquisitions, said in a statement to The Associated Press. “We look forward to making these networks available on Aug. 1 so customers can once again enjoy watching their favorite teams.”

Not only were Braves fans unable to watch the game on Xfinity, but other teams affected by the blackout included the Miami Marlins, Tampa Bay Rays, Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Guardians, Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels.
Customers with the Xfinity Ultimate TV package can also stream Bally content on the Bally Sports app.
The Bally Sports Network blackout began May 1 when Comcast Corp. and Diamond Sports Inc. were unable to reach a contract agreement.
