It’s no secret that Birmingham has a vibrant tech scene, and entrepreneurial minds want to keep it going. That’s how TECHS AND THE CITY began, a coalition of local business owners who want to foster tech growth in the Magical City of Birmingham.

“TECHS AND THE CITY was founded by a group of entrepreneurs and tech talent with the goal of creating a community where everyone in the tech ecosystem can share knowledge, resources and opportunities to excel at what they do.”

Chase Morrow, President and Co-Founder, Deploy Alloy

Past events have covered cutting edge technology topics such as:

  • First Birmingham Tech Battle
  • artificial intelligence
  • Investing in technology

At the June event, organizers will invite leading experts in FinTech (financial technology) to speak about how adopting cutting-edge technology can strengthen the financial side of your business.

FinTech refers to any technological advancement that helps businesses make more money faster, such as mobile banking, securing transactions with blockchain databases, and the much-talked-about cryptocurrencies.
