According to police sources, the attackers hurled a hand grenade at the law enforcers’ vehicle before opening fire on it, resulting in the martyrdom of three cops. The attackers also used rocket-propelled grenade in the deadly ambush. The law enforcement personnel were en route to Parachinar when ambushed.

Meanwhile, authorities relaxed the two-day curfew in Bajaur, allowing markets to reopen and daily life to resume.
Following the relaxation, residents flocked to local bazaars to purchase essential goods. Khark Bazaar, Inayat Kallay Bazaar, Siddiqabad Bazaar, and Nawagai Bazaar were among the commercial hubs that opened their doors. Traffic on the main roads also returned to normal.
However, in light of the prevailing security situation, police maintained strict checkpoints on major highways and all entry and exit points of the district.
