Among deceased, Hassan, Peshawar University student, recently returns home for holidays
Two separate shooting incidents in Bannu on Wednesday left at least three people dead and several others injured.
In the first incident, three people were killed and six others injured in the Mitha Khel area under Mandan police jurisdiction, reportedly after a clash between two groups. The victims were initially taken to District Headquarters Hospital, Bannu, with three of the injured later transferred to Peshawar due to the seriousness of their injuries.
Among the deceased is Hassan, a student at Peshawar University who had recently returned home for a short holiday. The other victims have been identified as Ajab Khan and Roshan. A large police contingent was deployed to the hospital, and investigations are ongoing.

In a separate incident at Mandan Gate, a police officer and his three-year-old son were injured when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on their vehicle. Head Constable Hashim Ali Khan and his young son were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Police have launched an operation to apprehend the attackers, and the motive behind the attack is under investigation.
Just three days ago, four police officers were martyred in two separate shooting incidents within four hours in Bannu, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a spokesperson for Bannu Region Police, unidentified assailants riding motorcycles opened fire on traffic police personnel in Lakki Marwat, killing three officers on duty. The martyred officials were identified as Traffic Police In-charge Naurang Jalal Khan and constables Azizullah and Abdullah. Their bodies were shifted to Naurang Hospital.
In a separate incident, police officer Rashid Khan was shot dead by assailants on a motorcycle in the Kaffshi Khel area within the limits of Mandan police station in Bannu.
