TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – A report compiled by Forbes analyzed data from all 50 states to reveal which states have the most drivers, with Kansas ranking in the top ten.
According to AAA research, more than half of all drivers engage in speeding, distracted driving, or aggressive driving. Forbes reports that many fatal crashes in Kansas are caused by drivers failing to obey traffic signs, signals, and traffic officers.
Forbes magazine ranked Kansas No. 8 in the United States. This is because he has the second highest number of fatal crashes caused by drivers not obeying signs, signals, or police officers. Kansas also ranks third in fatal crashes involving distracted drivers and third in fatal crashes involving drowsy drivers.
New Mexico takes the top spot for worst drivers in the country with the most fatal crashes involving distracted drivers, second place for fatal crashes involving speeding, and third place for fatal crashes involving drunk drivers. This was the total number of fatal accidents and collisions.
Forbes Advisor used data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Department of Transportation to arrive at its findings.
